Hello & Goodbye
The holiday months have brought many new distractions for us as we have been working hard to get to the finish line. November, of course, brought the Thanksgiving holidays and in the blink of an eye we are into the month of December with grandkids Christmas programs, annual Nutcracker production, shopping, and all the other Christmas celebrations! It's hard to believe it's the 20th and we are five days away from 'ole St. Nick arriving.
On a sad note, December also brought on the passing of David's mom. After 15 years of struggling with Alzheimer's, the worse disease ever, she lost her battle. We are thankful that her body and mind are now restored in heaven.
Despite the last several weeks of interruptions we were able to get a lot done on the inside. The tile & grout are finished in the bathroom; almost all of the trim work has been painted; and we have started sanding and painting the doors. We are ready to start laying the flooring. YEA!!!
On a fun note, we had some special visitors the first weekend of December. Joseph & Dianna Kennedy along with their daughter and son-in-law stopped by! We were so glad to see them and take them through the house to see the progress. They are the "Martins" we bought the house from. It was great to see them and looking forward to their next visit when the house is done.
